The New "Offered" Status and What it Means

With the recent updates to LA Net a new status of "Offered"was added to Limo Anywhere. This article explains the "Offered" status.

Why we did this?

With the new LA net as well as expanding integrations in the future with third party booking engines sending trips to Limo Anywhere operators we need a way to standardize reservations sent to Limo Anywhere operators. We have historically allowed Limo Anywhere operators to name and use a status anyway they would like, however as we move forward a certain level of standardization is required.

How "Offered" Works?

For Farm Out jobs the status of the trip will be automatically set to "Offered" for the Farm-out affiliate at the point it is e-farmed to another Limo Anywhere affiliate via LA net.. If accepted by the Farm-in Affiliate the status of the trip will automatically revert to whatever status is mapped to the Accepted state...in most case "Assigned" or "Farm-out Assigned".

For In House jobs or accepted Farm-In jobs the "Offered" state behaves based on your setting under My Office>Company Preferences>Reservations "Auto offer trip when driver is applied:"

If the setting is set to "Yes" then the status of the trip will be automatically set to "Offered" when the driver is assigned to the trip.

If the setting is set to "No" then the status will not change to "Offered" when the driver is assigned to the trip. However, you will need to set it to "Offered" when you want the driver to receive the trip.

If accepted by the Driver the status of the trip will automatically revert to whatever status is mapped to the Accepted state...in most cases "Assigned".

For more information on status mapping see State and Status Mapping Workflow.

FAQs About the "Offered" Status?

Can I delete the "Offered" Status?
No you should not delete or deactivate the "Offered" status because doing so will inhibit your ability to receive Farm-in trips, or in the future trips from third party booking engines.

We do not use Driver Anywhere so how does "Offered" effect us?
You can set the "Auto Offer trip when driver is applied:" setting to "No" and will be able to operate as normal.

We use Driver Anywhere and our Drivers see the trips as we assign a driver to the trip, how does "Offered" effect us?
Once you assign a driver to an In House or Farm-In trip the status moves to Offered. When the driver accepts the trip the status moves it moves to is mapped to the Accepted state...in most cases "Assigned". This is actually beneficial to you because you now know which trips the driver has been assigned to but not accepted yet, so if you get to a certain point in time and the status is still "Offered" you will know the driver has not accepted the trip yet, and you can call or message driver, or reassign the trip to another driver.

We use Driver Anywhere and our Drivers see the trips as when we change the status to our Offered to Driver Mapped Status, how does "Offered" effect us?
We added a setting to My Office >Company Settings tab > Company Preferences > Reservations > Auto offer trip when driver is applied: . If this setting is set to "NO" a state is added to the Operator Flow in System Mapping "Offered to Driver."

If you are using the "Offered to Driver" state then whatever status is mapped there (in this case "Dispatched") will behave exactly like the "Offered" status as described above except that the trip will not automatically be placed in "Dispatched" when the driver is assigned. It will be necessary for the operator to change the status of the trip to "Dispatched" in order for the driver to see the trip in the Driver Anywhere application.
